Order of burning incense and worshipping Buddha at Jiuhua Mountain

Go up the mountain → Tiantai Peak → Moon God Palace → Baisui Palace → Jiuhua Street → Go down the mountain → Ksitigarbha Statue Scenic Area.
The process of burning incense and worshipping Buddha at Jiuhua Mountain:
(1) First go to Jiuhua Mountain Tourist Service Center at the foot of the mountain (Ke Village), buy a 190-yuan scenic spot ticket here, and then go directly up the mountain. If you are traveling by car, buy a 50-yuan scenic area transportation ticket and then take the bus up the mountain. Don't stop here and don't buy incense or candles. There are many shops in the town on the mountain. Incense and candles cost 5-10 yuan a box. You can buy as many boxes of incense as you need to visit temples. It will be very expensive to buy it at the foot of the mountain and they will ask you to buy a lot, which will be troublesome if you can't burn it all.
(2) If you are driving or willing to take a taxi, after going up the mountain, drive directly to the small terrace to burn incense and make a wish (20 minutes), then turn around and go to the west gate to enter the main hall of the Moon Body Hall to worship the body of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva and walk around the pagoda three times (30 minutes). Then go to Huacheng Temple, the founding temple of the mountain, to burn incense, visit the Jiuhua Mountain History and Cultural Relics Museum, and learn about the general situation of Jiuhua Mountain. It takes about 30 minutes here. Then we went to the Sandalwood Zen Temple, which is the Great Compassion Tower, to worship Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, Bodhisattva of Action, Bodhisattva of Wisdom, the Pure Flesh Body, etc. This will take about 40 minutes.
(3) Those who take the bus can first go to the founding temple, Huacheng Temple, and then go to the Sandalwood Zen Forest, which is the Great Compassion Tower. Then walk up 400 steps from the North Gate, pass the Amitabha Hall, Ksitigarbha Zen Temple, and come to the main hall of Yueshen Hall to worship Ksitigarbha and walk around the pagoda. Then walk to the small terrace to burn incense, turn back, pass the Upper Zen Hall and Jingjie Jingshe, and go down from the South Gate to Jiuhua Street. This line takes 2 hours. If you want to pray for wealth, you can go to the Jiuhua Mountain God of Wealth Temple, also known as Min Gong Temple, to worship.
(4) If time is tight, a visit to the five temples, namely Huacheng Temple, Sandalwood Forest, Moon Body Hall, Small Tiantai Temple and God of Wealth Hall, will suffice. It will take about three hours to complete the Jiuhua Mountain incense burning tour.

Taboos of burning incense and worshipping Buddha at Jiuhua Mountain

1. Jiuhua Mountain is a holy place of Buddhism. Local people usually call monks "Master", so don't call lay people "Master". You can call them Mr., Ms., etc.
2. When entering or leaving a temple, do not step on the threshold, stand or sit on it, or block the door;
3. Photography and video recording are prohibited inside temple halls;
4. Do not touch or strike the instruments in the temple (bells, drums, wooden fish, etc.);
5. Whether you are a believer or just following your own will, you must light the incense sticks correctly, otherwise it will be regarded as disrespectful to the Buddha.
6. Do not ask monks about sensitive issues such as the reasons why they became monks or their daily lives.
