According to legend, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva sacrificed himself to save the common people and to liberate the souls of the six realms. This can be said to be an extremely selfless act of love. However, some people say that some people cannot worship such a benevolent Bodhisattva. So what are the three types of people who cannot worship Ksitigarbha? Three types of people cannot worship Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva 1. People with bad intentions When worshiping Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, one must have a pious heart. Generally, if one prays for the health and safety of his family members and a smooth life, the possibility of his wish coming true is quite high. But if you have bad intentions and hope to burn incense and ask the Buddha to bless you to become rich overnight or achieve success immediately, then you'd better not go. Those who try to live a high-quality life without working for it will definitely not get help from the Buddha. There are also a small number of people who may take advantage of certain special times when there are many people in the temple and want to steal. Not only are the thoughts of these people terrible, but the consequences will also be terrible. 2. A very evil person For those who are cruel by nature and have committed many evil deeds, never worship Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. No matter what your purpose is, you cannot go there. Otherwise, not only will you not receive the blessing of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, you may also be punished. Of course, there is one exception, that is, these people had done a lot of bad things and even been to prison, but later they reflected deeply, realized their mistakes, and decided to turn over a new leaf and start a new life. Under this premise, it is natural to go to the temple. After purification and salvation, you will definitely become a better person. 3. People who do not believe in Buddhism People who go to the temple to worship Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva must be monks or people who are devoted to Buddhism. Since you don’t believe in Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva at all, there is definitely no need for you to go to the temple. Some people may still believe in Christianity, Islam, Taoism, etc., which may conflict with Buddhism in terms of doctrine, so it is better not to cause trouble for yourself. In addition, when visiting temples, you must dress neatly and keep clean. You cannot be too revealing and you cannot laugh and joke around, showing no respect. Things to note when worshipping Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva1. Do not use chemical or inferior incense to worship Buddha. This is disrespectful and will not gain Buddha's blessing. It is the correct way to burn natural incense. It is recommended to go to the Wuxiang Copper Furnace official website to buy a pair of better natural incense for offering. 2. When worshipping Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, you should light the incense all at once, and the stronger the better. Also, when burning incense, raise both hands above your head. After bowing, you can place the incense in the incense burner. 3. When burning incense, family members or friends cannot disturb the person burning incense, nor talk to adults. It is taboo to change the way of burning incense or the way of saying things. |
