There are too many retrograde planets this year. Although all planets go retrograde, Mercury, Venus, and Mars are the closest to Earth and are the planets we feel most strongly when they go retrograde. The universe wants us to look back rather than forward in the second half of 2018, and this trend will continue until early December. Let’s take a moment to review what’s going on.

On June 26, Mars begins to retrograde and will last until August 27. Mars rules the tenth house of career for Cancer ascendants, so it will be difficult for you to make progress in your career during this period. Negotiations/interviews are on hold and no matter how much you want to sign the contract and start working, moving forward is not in sync with the universe.

Meanwhile, there are three eclipses in July and August, and since eclipses require adjustment, at least one of them will require you to adapt to changing conditions. These include: a new moon solar eclipse in Cancer on July 12; a full moon lunar eclipse in Aquarius on July 27 (a giant lunar eclipse); and finally a solar eclipse in Leo on August 11. These eclipses affect your personal area and may bring about lifestyle changes, an increase in income, or a complete change in your financial structure.

Fortunately, your career plans are not yet fully implemented, because eclipses have their own ideas for you, and they usually bring news that changes the situation in the blink of an eye. You already know if you are affected by this when the first eclipse arrives on July 12 as a new moon solar eclipse in Cancer, opening up a whole new path. In your career, you need to stay on your toes as rapidly changing events bring unexpected news every day.

In 2019, there will be more eclipses in Cancer and your opposite sign, Capricorn, and they will arrive as scheduled on January 5, July 2, July 16, and December 25, 2019. This almost guarantees that the changes in your life will continue and intensify rapidly. Although you prefer to maintain the status quo, you often find that change is a good thing because change often creates opportunities that you would not be able to take advantage of if you did not have to consider your options.

This month, Venus will go retrograde from October 5th to November 16th, and the slow pace will continue even longer. This will not affect your career, but your home and family life. If you are dating someone during the retrograde period in October and November, you may change your mind several times about where you want to take the relationship over the next few months, and you may eventually decide that this person is the one for you. Or, if you're missing someone from your past, you may feel called to rekindle an old flame, for when Venus is retrograde she can have you looking back at past loves or the history of your current relationship.
