Your career is about to reach unprecedented heights, thanks to the arrival of Jupiter, the planet of good fortune, into your tenth house, which rules your honors, awards, and achievements. It takes Jupiter 12 years to orbit the Sun, so it has been a long time since you had Jupiter help improve your position in your industry, give you the luck you deserve, and advance your career.

I should qualify this statement with a time limit, as you did have a brief visit to Pisces in 2021 from May 13 to July 28, when Jupiter briefly visited this sign, providing a small preview of your prestigious career sector. (Jupiter was retrograde for part of that period, so your strongest period was May 13 to June 20, 2021). Think back – was there anything special that happened in your career? For some Geminis, or those with Gemini rising (you can only know your rising sign if you have a horoscope made according to the specific time of your birth), you may have a breakthrough in your career. Go through your emails and photos and refocus on that time. If there's nothing special going on, you still have plenty of time to create your own glory. A series of events are about to arrive, and the new moon on January 3 should be nothing short of extraordinary for your career.

Now, Jupiter has returned to Pisces starting on December 28, 2021, and will continue to travel with you until he leaves and enters Aries on May 10, 2022. He’ll return to Pisces, in your house of career, from October 28 to December 20, 2022, which is a big astrological sign suggesting that you’ll end the year on an important career note. Among all the zodiac signs, you have the best career forecast. Between now and May 10, Jupiter will be moving at a very fast pace, suggesting that you will reap gains quickly. Unlike 2021, when Jupiter was weakly retrograde for half of the first few months of 2022 in your tenth house of honors, awards, and achievements, Jupiter will remain strong in the first month of 2022. He will go retrograde again later this year, from October 27 to November 23, also in your tenth house of career, which represents fame, so this means your strongest period at the end of 2022 will be from November 23 to December 20.

Let's get back to the current month, January, which begins with a happy, positive new moon on January 3rd, inspiring your financial situation in the days and weeks ahead. This new moon is in Capricorn, 12 degrees, and along with her companions, the Sun, Venus, and Pluto, all in Capricorn, fill your eighth house of other people's money. The best part about this new moon is that Uranus, the planet of surprises, may suddenly send you money you didn't expect.

This money could be a bonus, commission, royalties, licensing fees, an insurance check for a claim you made, or money someone owed you some time ago that you may have given up. You might win a competition or a TV game show. It may come in the form of a beautiful and valuable gift, or you may receive a mortgage from a bank or venture capital from a sponsor. As you can see, all of these examples represent money coming to you outside of your normal paycheck, and when it arrives, you'll be stunned.

Saturn rules your eighth house of other people's money (also where this new moon arrives), and Saturn is currently in your ninth house, so the money is likely to come from a media project (writing, editing, broadcasting, or producing) or a company abroad.

The emphasis on your eighth house also suggests that you may have to pay taxes this month or in February, as January's powerful new moon was there and Mars is on its way there, staying from January 24 to March 6. If your taxes are easy to pay, you may be learning how to keep your investments safe while still seeing impressive financial growth, or you may be dealing with the sale of a piece of real estate. There are a lot of possibilities, but you'll figure it out.

Mars will continue to stay in your seventh house, which represents partnerships, whether romantic or business, so it is likely that your significant other will create motivation for you this month. Let your lover, spouse, agent, business partner, or other person you work closely with in the relationship take the lead. Looking at your solar chart, it appears that this month it is your business partners who will be directly responsible for your financial fortunes. As Mars leaves Sagittarius, you will have more of a say and will be better able to formulate and announce your plans.

Financial matters will be emphasized throughout the month, including the full moon on January 17 in Cancer, 28 degrees. During this Full Moon, Uranus, the planet of surprises in Taurus, will contact Venus, which is still in your financial house, as it travels back and forth in Capricorn. Pluto will oppose this full moon, so you may find yourself in a fierce competition, such as if you are bidding on a project. Don't worry, because you will most likely resolve negotiations for a big deal, and as a result, more money will flow to you.

Be sure to keep your range of options open until you can see clearly what you have, as your ruling planet, Mercury, will be retrograde from January 14 to February 3. Certain facts may have been omitted or glossed over, and you will need time to see all the elements clearly, especially regarding what you are negotiating.

Venus is also currently in retrograde, a phase that began on December 19 and will last until January 29. Venus rules love, luxury, pleasure and beautiful things. She also rules profits and money, especially those related to women. If you plan to market to women, avoid January, as Venus will be retrograde until January 29th. It would be best to wait until February (after February 3) to launch any advertising, promotions, or social media campaigns, when both Mercury and Venus will resume their normal direct motion.

It’s also best to postpone plans for cosmetic procedures until February, including Botox and fillers—these can be expensive, so you’ll want to see a dermatologist when Venus is awake and supportive, rather than while she’s sleeping in retrograde motion. If you do make major changes to your appearance, you may not like the results while Venus is retrograde. This also applies to cutting hair, and for men, shaving beards. You can do whatever you like in February. Just a note about touch-ups – a touch-up of color or a simple trim is okay, as, well, these aren’t major, dramatic changes.

Speaking of retrogrades, there is an important and huge planet that is about to go direct on January 18th: Uranus. This planet of change begins to go retrograde on August 19, 2021.

This is good news because Uranus rules your ninth house of publishing, international relations and overseas business, legal matters, and your efforts to obtain an advanced degree in college or graduate school. If you work on one of these areas listed, things will work out for you. For best results, wait until the new moon on February 1 in Aquarius 12 degrees - Uranus rules Aquarius. That new moon will address the areas of life that I just listed that are ruled by your solar ninth house. As Uranus moves direct, it will greatly strengthen the new moon of February 1, which in turn will help you achieve good results in your efforts in these areas.

Love will get much better in February - this year's Valentine's Day will hopefully bring you warmth and happiness. If you are single, you may meet someone new during Venus retrograde this month and develop an intense relationship, but it will quickly cool down because Venus rules emotions - which can be restricted during Venus retrograde periods. Sit tight this month and enjoy the slower pace and gradual calm that is January.
