Why shouldn't we go to temples often? Can we live anywhere in temples?

In many areas, people burn incense and worship Buddha on the first and fifteenth days of every lunar month to pray for their own or their family's safety and health. However, some elderly people often say that they cannot go to temples often. What is going on? Why not go to temples more often?

Young people should not go to temples often because young people are full of vigor and hope. Temples are very peaceful places, and young people will not have that kind of drive when they come here, so it is not good. There is also a saying that young people do not understand many of the rules of the temple. If they go to the temple frequently, they will often break the rules, so it is better to go less often.

1. In fact, no matter young or old, as long as you have Buddha in your heart, have good thoughts, do no evil, and accumulate merits, as long as you have a heart, the Buddha will bless you with his mercy.

2. Young people who frequently go to temples not only waste time and money, but also become distracted and unable to concentrate, and their chanting of Buddha will not be successful.

3. It is a small matter for young people to often go to temples and waste their energy and financial resources; it is a big matter if what they learn is not specialized, and is mixed with a lot of right and wrong, and a lot of unnecessary troubles.

4. Simply put, if you have good thoughts and Buddha in your heart, the Buddha will bless you.

Can you live in a temple?

First of all, it is not recommended that you live in a temple.

1. Temples, Taoist temples, halls, including churches, are all places where humans and gods communicate. In addition to humans themselves and the statues that can be seen by the naked eye, there are many spiritual bodies existing in the same space. It is not recommended to worship in the temple after 1 pm and before 5 am, let alone live in the temple. Unless there are special circumstances, it is best to stay away from temples during this period.

2. Only monks and nuns are allowed to live in temples.

The people taken in by the temple are all "homeless". Since you are a family member living in this world and cannot leave your home, why should you live in a temple? Living in a temple rashly, or even moving around with furnishings and instruments, or spitting or going to the bathroom in the temple, may offend the spirits, so when you worship in the temple, you must strictly abide by the temple rules.

3. Behind the Maitreya Buddha in the Hall of Heavenly Kings in the temple is Skanda Bodhisattva. Skanda Bodhisattva has his back to the temple gate and is facing the Buddha Shakyamuni in the Main Hall. Behind the Buddha is mostly the Nanhai Dripping Water Avalokitesvara, who is worshipped to save all living beings. In the kitchen of the temple's dining hall, the Kitchen God, who is the Bodhisattva in charge of supervising fasting, is enshrined. The kitchens and dormitories of the temple are also not allowed to be entered casually, so as not to conflict with the monks. Monks, nuns, Taoists and Taoist nuns all have special auras and meanings in the shamanic world. Once a conflict occurs, the severity of the conflict far exceeds that of evil spirits.
