In many areas, people burn incense and worship Buddha on the first and fifteenth day of every lunar month to pray for their own or their family's safety and health. However, burning incense and worshipping Buddha cannot be done casually. The words used in the wishes are also very important. So what do you say when you go to a temple to worship Buddha and make a wish? Why worship Buddha? How to pray at a temple? 1. May I, in every life, attain a good place endowed with the seven virtues. 2. May I encounter the Dharma as soon as I am born and have the freedom to practice it properly. 3. May I be able to make the Dharma teachers and students happy and practice the Dharma day and night. 4. May I realize the Dharma and practice its essence, so that I can transcend the ocean of the three realms in this life. 5. May I be able to spread the wonderful Dharma to all sentient beings, and accomplish the work of benefiting others without any boredom. 6. May I be able to help all sentient beings attain enlightenment through impartial great deeds. 7. For everyone related to me, let them eliminate all adverse conditions and obtain all favorable conditions! Let them stay away from all diseases, disasters and other adverse conditions, obtain all favorable conditions, and let their minds be like the Dharma, the Dharma is like the right path, and they can quickly attain the Buddhahood! 8. In order to accomplish this goal, let all the conditions for practicing Buddhism in this life, that is, good karma, fortune, wealth, wisdom, compassion, virtue, and all other favorable conditions, all increase! All the obstacles to practicing such a special Dharma, especially diseases, disasters, sufferings, obstacles, and all other obstacles and adverse conditions, all be eliminated! 9. If I cannot become a Buddha in this life, please allow me to be reborn in the Western Paradise of Bliss and practice Buddhism with Amitabha Buddha! After attaining Buddhahood, I will be able to repay the kindness of all sentient beings! Please allow me to achieve such a wonderful cause and condition! 10. May all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas protect and bless me, so that when I obtain a human body in this life, I can develop great compassion, bodhicitta, generosity, precepts, patience, diligence, meditation, wisdom and other paramita, so that I can quickly escape the suffering of reincarnation and reach the eternal and happy bodhi fruition! Why worship Buddha? There are three purposes of worshiping Buddha: first, to develop a sense of awe for the Buddha's virtues; to cure one's greed; third, to cultivate one's own blessings. The sutra says, "It is difficult to be born in the Buddha's era." The great masters also said, "I was in hell when the Buddha was alive. I was born after the Buddha's nirvana. I repent that I have many karmas in this body and cannot see the golden body of the Tathagata." These Buddhist sayings and teachings reflect the difficulty of being born in the Buddha's era. Therefore, if we want to offer sacrifices to a Buddha in the Saha world, we no longer have the opportunity. However, if we only seek rebirth in the Pure Land, we will not only be able to get close to and offer sacrifices to Amitabha Buddha, but also, with the blessing of Amitabha's great vows, we will be able to manifest countless incarnations, go to all Buddhas, and offer sacrifices to all Buddhas. |
